The municipality of Vinoř to the north-east of Prague was looking for new development possibilities for municipal housing in the areas surrounded by the existing housing. One of the areas is located on a narrow plot at the back of the local school. The design of the block of flats was based on the effort to create as large as possible a selection of various types of flats, from one-bedroom flats to two-storey flats. The austere look of the architecture emphasizes the social aspect of the construction.
